Another successful river cleanup!

We are so grateful for the wonderful volunteers who came out on a Saturday morning to help clean up the Mokelumne river!

It was a beautiful, cool morning for our group of  23 volunteers to spread out and remove litter along the river starting at Vaught’s beach all the way to Big Bar at the highway 49 bridge. We filled the dumpster, a pickup truck, and a number of large Cal Trans bags.

In total we removed 465 pounds of litter and 80 pounds of recycling!

Another big thank you goes to ACES Waste Disposal Services, who continue to donate their services to help us keep the watershed clean.

Thank you Safeway for donating a $50 gift certificate for purchasing coffee and supplies to keep our volunteers energized!

Munnerlyn’s Ice Creamery donated gift certificates we awarded to our hardest working volunteers – thank you for helping us reward our volunteers!

A special thanks to Will Mosgrove for taking photos – please enjoy them in the slideshow below.
