Join friends and fellow Foothill Conservancy supporters for our (virtual) 30th Anniversary Celebration and fundraiser on Thursday, December 3 at 7 pm
Back in 1989, local residents concerned about the future of Amador and Calaveras counties met over pot-luck dinners to decide what to do next. That led to the formation of the Foothill Conservancy.
Now, thanks to your support, the Foothill Conservancy has a 30-year record of accomplishment, including securing California Wild and Scenic River designation for the Mokelumne River. Because of you, we continue to be a strong, homegrown voice for our communities and environment. It’s time to celebrate what we’ve done together and look forward to the challenges ahead!
You can enjoy our virtual 30th Anniversary Celebration from the comfort of your own home. No driving, no dealing with crowds, no dressing up, and Covid-safe! With your favorite beverage in hand, you’ll hear from some of the Conservancy’s founding members and the talented Wicked Sisters band.
You can raise a toast as we give a special community service award to founding members Dr. Bob Hartmann and Mary Ellen “Mel” Welsh for their many contributions to our local environment and community health. You can bid on some very special auction items, including an OARS raft trip on the American River, a very special wine package featuring the only Sierra foothill wine to receive a perfect 100 point score, and Dr. Bob’s renowned and rare Scottish shortbread.
Your tax-deductible donations to our charitable nonprofit during the event will help us raise the funds we need to continue working to keep our trees tall, towns small, and rivers wild!
Unlike our annual dinner, this event is free to all. But you’ll need to register in advance to participate and bid on the auction items. Please register today and invite your friends! And if you can’t attend, please consider making a donation on the event site.
Contributions to the Foothill Conservancy, a charitable nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to “seeing” you at our fun event on Thursday, December 3.
