Western Rivers Conservancy would like to introduce you to river expert, author, photographer and conservationist Tim Palmer—your guide to the upcoming Great River of the West
web series, which launches in March!
Tim is an award-winning author of 29 books about rivers, river conservation and river recreation. He is the country’s foremost authority on paddling rivers and has canoed or kayaked over 300 of them across the United States. To see rivers through Tim’s eyes is to experience them through the eyes of a river otter, a scholar and your favorite whitewater guide all at the same time.
Tim will be taking registrants of the series on a journey down dozens of the West’s great rivers—11 states in all, from the Pacific Coast to the spine of the Rockies, into the Sonoran Desert and beyond. His presentations will be lively and fast-paced, and they’ll offer enriching insights for everyone, whether you’ve been exploring rivers for decades or you’re just dipping your toes in and want to learn more.
- Great Rivers of the West starts March 3 and runs every Wednesday at 6pm, Pacific Time, until April 21. A different state or region will be featured each week.
