Pamela Hill quilt for sale

October 5, 2024 @ 10:00 am - October 6, 2024 @ 4:00 pm PDT
We are pleased to announce that a one-of-a-kind collectable quilt will be for sale at this year’s Golden Threads Quilt Show to benefit the work of the Foothill Conservancy.
The quilt is an original creation from renown quilter Pam Hill and donated by her to support the Conservancy. Hill, who passed away in 2021, was based in Mokelumne Hill, but was known nation-wide for her quilt designs, which were featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and the Smithsonian. Her quilts are featured in both public and private collections including the American Embassies in Pakistan and Thailand. Hill was a supporter of the Conservancy since its creation in 1990. The quilt is constructed of jewel tones of dupion silk with a dark burgundy border and cotton batting. The quilt, titled Coperta II v. 2, is one-of-a-kind, registry number #91037. The quilt will be on display and for sale during the Golden Threads Quilt Show on October 5th and 6th. The Quilt Show is open to the public Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm at the Sutter Creek Auditorium, 18 Main Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685.
The suggested retail price for this quilt is $1,875, with all proceeds going to the Mother Lode Quilters’ Guild and the Foothill Conservancy. The Foothill Conservancy works to preserve the natural environment of Amador and Calaveras Counties for future generations. For more info see foothillconservancy.org.
