Perseid Meteor Shower viewing at local farm

August 14, 2021 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm PDT

“Through the generosity of our host farmer, Daniel D’Agostini of Abbondonza Farm, we are able to add a second night of star gazing during the Perseid meteor shower. While this event is free please consider a donation to one of our sponsoring organizations.

The Perseid meteor shower is considered the best meteor shower of the year with 50 – 100 meteors visible hourly throughout the sky during the warm summertime peak. A truly unforgettable experience for those fortunate enough to be part of this amazing viewing opportunity hosted by Daniel D’Agostini at his farm. Additional parking is available in the adjacent La Mesa Tasting Room parking lot.

The free event offers and unobstructed view of the night sky. Bring chairs and a blanket for a relaxing and informative evening of constellation and meteor gazing. Only 24 spots available!  Make you reservation today.

There is a waiting list if you are unable to reserve a spot. Please email Carolyn at carolyn@foothillconservancy.org and ask to be put on the list.  This event is part of the public outings program sponsored by Farms of Amador,  Mother Lode Land Trust and Foothill Conservancy.
