On June 4, John Silva of Give Back Adventures will begin his multi-sport fundraising expedition, Mokelumne River Source to the Sea, and we would love your help sending him off! Join us from 10 -11 a.m. at Detert Park in Jackson to meet John and the Foothill Conservancy staff. Come show your support for the Mokelumne River and the work we tirelessly do to protect it. We will have coffee and light snacks as well as information about the expedition so you can share and encourage others to follow the adventure. Show up and add your contact information to our Source to Sea email list and you’ll get one entry into our raffle for a hat, pint glass and Wild and Scenic Mokelumne t-shirt. Make a donation and you’ll get a second entry!
John’s expedition will help further one of our goals to connect Mokelumne River water users with the river they depend upon to keep their taps flowing. In particular, the over 1.5 million people in the East Bay who rely on the Mokelumne River should have a better understanding of where their water comes from and the importance of protecting the entire watershed. Visit foothillconservancy.org/s2s and givebackadventures.com/ for more information about the expedition.
