1993-1994 Hosted presentation by legendary environmentalist David Brower

Gave Environmental Citizenship awards to four girls in Ione who spoke up against clearcutting of local oak woodland, and donated oak trees to Ione Elementary. Helped local citizens with Measure G campaign in Jackson, which overturned the approval of the Gold Creek project. Helped found the Sierra Nevada Alliance. Hosted meeting of Yolo panel advocating consensus-based community planning. Won first prize for marching groups in Jackson’s 4th of July Parade (river walking unit). Hosted presentation by noted planning professor, Dr. Tim Duane of UC Berkeley.
