Picture yourself late afternoon, Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. A refreshing breeze rustles the early autumn leaves on the spacious lawn in Shenandoah Valley, Amador County ...
You are outdoors, wearing your light jacket or shawl, visiting with old and new friends at beautiful Terre Rouge and Easton Wines. The gentle music of Wicked Sisters is playing in the background. You buy a wine, beer, or soda, reminding yourself to bid on the items in the raffle and silent auction while anticipating the outstanding meal to be served by organic farmers and caterers Outer Aisles with homemade desserts to follow. You take a deep breath and feel grateful you can support Foothill Conservancy in its 31st year of protecting the land and watershed of this glorious region.
You are attending the event to honor Dr. Bob Hartmann and Mel Welsh, RN, founding members of Foothill Conservancy and dedicated health advocates in their work before and during the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic. Happy to be well and mobile, you know you will have space to be physically distanced while gathering with others who are also going through the tenuous times of the pandemic. The event is your opportunity to be out and about while contributing to the environmental mission of the Foothill Conservancy.
Remember to bring cash for your beverage purchases from our generous hosts Jane O’Riordan and Bill Easton.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Marta Johnson
