Tiger Creek Road Closures March 1 – May 1

Tiger Creek Road Closures March 1 - May 1, 2022

PG&E, owner of the Mokelumne Hydroelectric River Project , has announced that it will be intermittently closing Tiger Creek Road at McKenzie Drive from March 1 through May 1 in order to perform routine maintenance.

The Tiger Creek Forebay will be closed to recreational use throughout the work period.

There may also be periodic closures of Salt Springs Road at the Tiger Creek Regulator and/or Powerhouse as construction materials and equipment are moved in and out of the site.

During the closure, a sign will be posted and an employee will be stationed at the closure point

The Tiger Creek public day use areas and parking will still be available for recreation during weekends and when construction activity allows for safe access, but parking will be limited and/or filled with contractor and visiting PG&E crews.

Proposed activities include draining the forebay in order to replace the trash rake, and completing the lining of the regulator canal.
