Amador County has hired a consultant to develop a Specific Plan for the County’s Wicklow Way property, 200 acres south of WalMart that was to be the site of a new County Jail until that project was cancelled. The County is now in the process of creating a development plan for the site in the hopes that a private developer will take up the project.
